Still having intermittent Time Machine Disk visibility issues, usually restarting SMB allows the shares to be see in TM +add_disk

Is there any way to query the Truenas TM shares and see if they are showing up as TM shares.
They always show up as SMB shares and I can connect to them, but my TM sometimes just doesn't see the share. Sometimes restarting SMB helps, sometimes just editing a TM share and saving it causes the disks to appear in the +add disk under TM, sometimes not :( Which is the fustrating part.

I know there were a few others that had this issue years ago, my wee troubles just started again recently. I upgraded to 13.U5 from 13.U3 to try and see if that improved things. Nope.

SCALE any more reliable with TM?
Thanks,
Sorry for the ramble, I am stuck.

I am suspecting that it was having some shares mounted as both SMB and NFS. I did this so that I could browse backups as SMB shares from my mac or windows. I have disabled the two shares under Windows Shares and the -adisk._tcp started announcing or responding.
will update later with whether this is the cause.

NOPE : still an issue. Truenas stops broadcasting / responding to TimeMachine requests for resources.
mDNS Tool will show it responding after a start stop of the service and then it stops. May just put it in an endless cron job.

Well, smoke! Thanks for being patient with me. Sorry, I have been a terminal guy and caveman for 37 years, and all this fancy BBEdit stuff scares and confuses me. I think that I have it now, and won't make that mistake again.

Now off to figure out that hidden thing for my signature.

It looks like you are running 13-U3.1?
Are you using the SMB shares type (config preset) time machine?
