I have a ST3000DM001 1CH166 CC29 drive and sometime ago, i updated the firmware from freenas command line i think.
The drive correctly shows the model / vendor and version but the serial number appears as {'s

The drive info from seachest on linux shows the below and I note it shows 2.2TB and gparted shows 2.7TB
seachest firmware update won't run against it, because it is not recognized as a seagate drive.
seatools also doesn't on it, presumably because of the bad SN

is there any tool that can be used to repair the s/n?
is 2.2TB correct? I tried to clone a drive to this drive, and from this drive I have a hudge number of bad clusters.
