Hi there,

I have installed 2 SSD drives on my Freenas sytem with the following specs:

Supermicro X10SL7-F (SAS in IT mode)
Intel Xeon E3-1241 v3
Crucial 32GB Unbuffered ECC 1.5v 2 x CT2KIT102472BA160B
4 x WD RED 4TB in RAIDZ2
2 x Kingston SSD 120GB SSDNow V+200

Both SSD's are mounted as individual Vdev.
I have created a Dataset on the first SSD and copied files to it.
I have created an automatic snapshot task that runs every 5 minutes.
I have created a replication task to run and copy the snapshot to the second SSD with compression disabled and encryption disabled too .

Running gstat I can monitor throughput performance and I am puzzled with the results of transfer speed.

While %busy tab are near 100% on both drives, throughput on read is maxing out to nearly 200MB/s while write throughput is maxing out at 100MB/s or so.

As per my experience with these SSD drives, I can achieve much higher throuhput on my Windows machine.

Does anyone know what the %busy tab refers too? Is this SATA lane utilisation, doesn't seem to be the case as read and write are not equivalent. Could it be Freenas ZFS engine?

During replication, ssh and sshd can take up to 20% workload on CPU so I ran a scrub on both SSD's and throughput numbers remain close to replication results with only python2.7 usage below 3%.

I am running out of ideas and solution trying to narrow down the botleneck source of my system.
