just in case somebody else stumbles into this issue. I have a Windows 10 (x64) Guest VM with all VirtIO drivers running, wanted to upgrade it to Windows 10 2004 with the upgrade wizard provided by $MSFT. It fails with "not enough RAM", regardless of how much RAM I assign. The solution appears to be an old one, disabling WMI Service in msconfig. After rebooting the VM, the upgrade now proceeds.
