SMTP Email Authentication in 12.0-U1 problem

Hey,

I checked the documentation, and the latest I could find is for 11.3-U5.
The issue is that in 12.0, it was the same as 11.3-U5. The Mail server was in the general options.
Now in 12.0-U1 it seems to be gated behind the SMTP Authentication radio button and requires a username. This causes the mail server to reject the email.

Please direct me to the documentation if it exists as I can't find it.

Otherwise, the question I have is:

Is authentication required at this point for a local SMTP server? The GUI changed between 12.0 and 12.0-U1.
I've attached images to show the difference (GMail OAuth is the default, and when I switch to SMTP is where I got that image from).
It's requiring a username now (did not in 12.0).

Thanks,
Mike

Perfect. Thanks Kris. I didn't find that when I was googling. I'll save the URL for the jira.

@Kris Moore Will you release a quick fix soon-ish before U2?
If not, would it be possible to revert to 12.0, configure SMTP, then re-apply the update?

Update: reverting to 12.0 does work.

Is it possible for me to revert to 12.0? I have a new install on TrueNAS Mini E and since I wasn't upgrading from a previous version, I never entered my SMTP info. Now I can't configure any SMTP alerts.
