SMB shares have not worked since mid May

I am using the Zorin distro of Ubuntu.
SMB shares were working fire until sometime in mid May.

My freeNAS system is on 12.0-U8. In mid May it was on 12.0-U8.1.

I can access it over it's IP address but the previous SMB shares that are still listed under "Home" show an error when trying to connect. "Unhandled error message: Failed to mount windows share: Invalid argument."

I had a lot of trouble setting up these SMB shares. My system did not change and none of the settings on trueNAS changed.

What could be wrong?

If I should be using other types of shares please tell me.

How are you mounting these shares on your Linux client (Zorin)?

My apologies. This is for NFS shares that also do not work.

Using fstab? systemd? manually? something else?

SMB shares are working again but still cannot get NFS shares to work. Time for another thread.
