Hi There,
I'm running Truenas Core TrueNAS 12.0-U7.
I have a pool called data with several datasets.
Some of these datasets can be read by certain Windows users, Other datasets can be fully manipulated by another windows user.
I followed some YouTube guides but I don't understand why user Tom on a given windows machine should be the same as the Truenas user Tom.
I proceeded anyway and created 3 users guyfs, eveline and qnap
I also created a group called Truenas-Main with the 3 users from above.
I did the same on a windows machine.
The dataset QPrograms uses a restricted ACL Preset where user guyf and group Truenas-Main are the owners.
What do I need to do to create a new directory or files from windows in this dataset?
It seems I can't in \\192.168.1.5\QPrograms
It seems I can in \\TRUENAS\QPrograms
I followed this guide which gave me a TRUENAS listing under Network
Kind regards
Guy Forssman
