I have the following configured:
5x 4TB HDD in RaidZ2 - 1 Volume (VOL1)
I then have a top level Dataset also VOL1, with datasets below that for individual folders (TV, Movies, Data, etc)
The sharing is configured for SMB for each Dataset I have.
What I have noticed is that each dataset reports it's capacity as a total of free space of VOL1 + space used in that dataset
e.g. VOL1 has ~4TiB used, total after formatted capacity is ~10.8TiB. TV Folder is using 1.07TiB, therefore Capacity is being relayed as 7.45TiB, rather than 10.8TiB.
My understanding is that each top level share should have been it's own dataset, so I am unsure why this reads incorrectly. Screen shots attached. This issue has persisted from 9.3 > 9.10 > 10. I don't think it's version related at this point.
I can provide more info if requested.
Thanks!
