At Cloud Credentials, I was able to easily create Amazon S3 as a provider with the Access Key ID and the Secret Access Key. Syncing over a cloud sync task also works smoothly ... so far so good.

But now I want to configure the S3 service, I'm asked for a secret key. I have already found out that this is not the Secret Access Key, but what kind of Key is this Secret Key and where can I find it in AWS?

Thanks and Regards!

I think you're mixing up the UI sections. If you want to send stuff to a cloud provider (like S3), you add your cloud credentials then create a cloud sync task (in the tasks section). If you want your FreeNAS to act as an S3 host, you can configure and enable the S3 service.

You can of course do both if you want, but it seems like you did half of one and half of the other.

Thanks for your answer. So maybe I understood it now... As mentioned in the manual: provide S3 storage hosted on the FreeNAS®

Thanks and Regards!
