That's what I think too since the pool have the disk serial number etc attached to it. I'm curious to know if someone else tried that..

No issue whatsoever. Shutdown machine, move disks as you please, boot up. No need to export the Volume. ZFS doesn't really care where your disks are. It uses the serial.

How did you get on with this? Did you move the drives from back to front? Have you explored the wiring on the backplane?

I'm going to check the wiring and test. I wouldn't mark this thread as resolved until I change the cable and tests the system. I will post back once I do! :)

The issue was the wires, I moved the hard drives to the front and none of them were detected. I purchased a new JBOD and all the errors went away!
