Search from Maverick

Greetings all!

Have looked high and low for a solution - please can someone point me in the right direction.

We have a FreeNAS box running in a MAC environment, all users with 10.6 (not many now) can search the shares without any trouble (See attached pic - they use the 'file' button) but all the users with 10.9 (Maverick) cannot - they do not have this option and as a result their searches are not possible.

What have we missed or done wrong?

Hey Roger,
this seems like a OSx usability question and not really FREENAS related.

let's start with the fact that 'file' in your picture is not really a button, it's an input (text) field.

in order for someone to be able to help you, and maybe even you finding the answer, try uploading 2 picture from the 2 different OSx versions.
