I'm pretty much looking for a pretty cheap way to backup files and other things. Anyone have experience or reasons this drive would not be good?
Usecase: Attach drive to a VM with USB (probably 2.0 but maybe 3 if that works fine) to a Win10 VM and use that for backup and storing files that I don't really need NAS access to.

Drive model I'm looking at is STEB10000400 that is 10TB and looks to be pretty much as cheap per GB that you can get within reason.

I could not find a way to filer Amazon reviews for this model so it kept showing every other million version that is super not related.

The thing I could find is somewhat noisy and a grinding noise sometime when not in use. Which I assume is SMR garbage collect.
And ofc some "stopped working seagate is crap going to WD" posts that is not super helpful.
