Greetings,

I'm looking for assistance getting Samba and ADS working.
I have it partly working but there is something wrong with showing "ALL" of the users in "getent passwd".
It only shows 2417 out of 9536 users.
And "getent group" shows no Active Directory Groups.
"wbinfo -u" shows 9536 users and "wbinfo -g" shows 5558 groups.
I've been googling around and haven't found a solution to this yet.

I'm using Nas4Free - 9.1.0.1 - Sandstorm (revision 636)
This comes with Samba - 3.6.12
I know this is the FreeNas forum. But I'm hoping that someone here has the expertise I need to figure this out.
I have posted in the Nas4Free forums as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Cody

Here is the output from wbinfo and getent
# wbinfo -u | wc -l
9537
# wbinfo -g | wc -l
5559
# getent passwd | wc -l
2417
# getent group | wc -l

So go to the NAS4Free forums. We have no expertise with their implementation.

I'll just move it to off-topic.
