Why? What possible reason or logic can you provide for wanting to do something like this?

EC2 only allows several predetermined OS images as far as I remember and FreeNAS isn't one of them though FreeBSD is.
I don't really see the reason why you would want to "cloud" a file server though. You'd have a huge bottleneck that is your internet link not to mention bandwidth usage bills.
