Running 2 pools - what happens if 1 goes down?

Hi

I'm new to FreeNAS and have been doing a bit reading on the concept of Pool, vdevs, RAIDZ etc...

Looking at my data I think there are two groups. Data which is very important and data which is less important. So my idea was to run 2 pools on my FreeNAS instance.
Pool A for important data and Pool B for the less important data. Is my assumption correct that if one Pool goes down it won't affect the other Pool and vise versa?

As an example. Let's say :
Pool A uses RAIDZ-2
Pool B uses RAIDZ-1

So Pool B will be dead after 2 disks failures in that Pool..but it won't affect Pool A. And Pool A would be dead after 3 disk failures in that Pool, but it won't affect Pool B.

Does this make sense?

Thanks
Alen

That is correct. Pools are autonomous. One pool taking a {feces} does not affect any other pool.
