Need help with Rsync...
Using FreeNAS 9.2.1.7 as my "Pull" system and OpenIndiana as "PUSH" running rsyncd. The is a folder that keeps showing up upon reboot of OI that prevents the sync. I get permission denied for .$EXTEND
If I change the owner of .$EXTEND from "root" to "jeff" (as are all the files to be synced) Rsync does it's thing. It seems the permissions for .$EXTEND are changed back to "root" on reboot.
Dose anyone know exactly what .$EXTEND is... where it's coming from and how to change it's permissions permanently?
I did not know where else I could of posted this so please forgive me if this is not appropriate..
Thanks..
{SOLVED} The .$EXTEND is somehow related to CIFS so I stopped SMB sharing on OI and .$EXTEND no longer appears. Since I use NFS anyway... problem solved.
