"root user is not value" with NIS

Hello,

I am running FreeNAS-9.2.1.2-RELEASE-x64 (002022c), and am having a small hiccup.

It seems that when NIS is enabled, the GUI will not let me set the owner of anything to be root. Is this normal/desired behavior?

Not sure if it has anything to do with it. But are you trying to set the root partition permissions? Or a dataset? I had to go to the root and make sure to uncheck the set permissions recursively, fixed my issue.

ALSO, had a similar issue at work. Had to use firefox instead of Chrome. Firefox would set the permissions, Chrome I'd hit OK and the permissions would stay the same. FYI
