Right Sata Card

I want to add a SATA 4 port card to my NAS so i can connect Rom, 5 NAS drives and the system Drive,
The motherboard doesn't have but 4 SATA connects

Consider getting an IBM 1015 off of ebay for about $125 USD. It'll support 8 drives out of the box, with special breakout cables. If you go that route, flash it to IT mode.

It's often recommended here on the forum.

Its Has to be an internal port card

Buy a supported contoller that's supported by FreeNAS.

That's why I recommended the IBM1015. It's internal and connects to drives inside your box.

Read the section "Additional SATA connectivity" in this thead.

How would u load the drivers for a internal sata card to the nas system
