Restore data from a snapshot

I need to restore data from a snap shot. I made a clone and shared it. I can brows to the share but the only thing in the folder is a file with the snapshot name. It is the right size. How do I get to the data?

Can you post exactly what you did to "make a clone and share it"?
How are you "browsing to the share"?

Sure.

From the freenas console I went to storage and Periodic snapshots. I found the snapshot I needed. I clicked on the clone snapshot button. I then clicked on the shares tab, chose add share. In the path I choose the path I just restored the clone too.

I am browsing to the share through the windows share.
