Are you sure? I thought I had seen another member recover data that way. The OP's pool was a simple two-way mirror, which is why I thought it would be worth trying.

The only person I saw recover data ended up sending their driver to some company. It cost a couple hundred dollars. Can't seem to find the thread.

I remember that case, but it isn't the one I'm thinking of. Still, I might have imagined it. Searching for photorec doesn't help.

Though unlikely, a simple brute-force search of all LBAs looking for jpegs might have some success, assuming sufficiently large block sizes and sequential writes. Beyond that, not much can be done.
