In case you missed it here's the Self-Hosted episode that talks about the new release of TrueNAS Scale

Here's their homepage:

It was also announced, with excitement, here (same host and producers):

And it'll be more throughly discussed in the upcoming episode (#447) of Linux Unplugged:

Happy listening :)

Not so sure what to think about it, seems a bit biased? First he is questioning the overall sense behind the product itself, which might be right, but doesnt differentiate between SCALE and CORE meaning he rejects TrueNAS overall ... aksing himself who would wanna use TrueNAS to start with, obviously ignoring Lawrence Systems who apparently deploys TrueNAS on enterprise level (40 GiB / 100 GiB Networks), so that makes me a vbit suspicious. The update blooper is certainly annoying... import of ppols worked for me though... so yes maybe not everything is perfect, bit it is also not a failure. In particular since it does take into account the fresh start which will be a significant use case...

It's interesting how they even missed that Kubernetes and VM Clustering isn't even in this release yet.

It also has to be noted that at least one of the hosts, is employed at RedHat which is basically one of the competitors of iX-Systems with this product. So there clearly is some conflict of interest.
