PHP 7.0 SMB-Client module

Wondering if anyone has had success with a PHP 7.0 version module of an smbclient. Only one I can find is pecl-smbclient-0.8.0_1 but that forces the removal of PHP 7.0 and install 5.6, I don't want 5.6.

My goal is to enable SMB/CIFS sharing in Nextcloud.

Yes. I set up Nextcloud in a jail and one of the offerings for external storage connections is SMB and needs php-smbclient to do so. I figured since I have a large share, locally on the NAS, I can serve it with a nice GUI like NextCloud using Samba and NextClouds external storage module.

This may help: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/43790/. Note that using make.conf means that you will have to compile the port for pecl-smbclient rather than use pkg install.
