Permissions Corrupted

So I been running freenas for a good while now great stuff. All was working great until last week. We use freenas on windows clients using the CIFS feature. The problem arised when we change an active directory group name that was assign with full permissions on all folders on the share. now all permissions have been lost and I cant figure how to fix them or reset them or assign again.
