I am running into some issues with my user permision management and the plex plugin.
I have the following dataset structure:
/Data rwx for all
-/data/Music rwx for all
--/data/music/UserAMusic Owner:UserA OwnerGroup:Admin rwx acces for owner and group. No rights for other
--/data/music/UserBMusic Same as above, only owner is UserB
I have a user for the plexmediaserver which is part of the admin group and runs the plexprocess.
plex runs in a jail and the storage is mounted to the jail. If I give read and execute access to others on the data sets for the specific users, plex can see the folders and access them. If I remove it plex can't access the folders.
The thing is if I give read access to others, everyone can access the folders, thats something I want to avoid.
