I am testing version 11.3 U1. The dataset Share Type is set to Generic. ACL set with owner as win1 and group owner as wingroup1. win1 auxiliary group is wingroup1.

On the Window 10 SMB client, I map to Z: drive. I create a "New Folder". 4 new folders are created. ==> Odd behaviour
I try to create new folder again. Another 4 more new folders are created ==> Odd behaviour
Repeat. Another 4 more new folders are created ==> Odd behaviour

I tried to delete any of the folders. A pop appears saying I need administrator rights to delete the folder.

This problem does not appear if the dataset was added with the Share Type SMB.

The new ACL Manager or whatever that is underneath it appears to have this problem. Anyone encounter something like this?

Thanks in advance.

Tested Share Type Generic with MacOS Catalina 10.15.3 with AFP. And with Time Machine as well. Everything seems to work well & no issue at all.
Tested Share Type Generic with MacOS Catalina 10.15.3 with SMB. Permission restrictions issues even though I can create folders and pasting files to it. But I can't delete them. (I will look further in the ACL granular controls later)

Will be testing NFS on CentOS 7.7 next. Updates soon.
