I have setup my first Freenas box using HP Microserver!
Several attempts were made but now it looks very simple.
it has 5 2tb drives that are quite roomy - depending on setup.
The trouble is that it BECAME noisy.
At first I set it up as ZFS1 - one redundancy drive but 8tb of space
then I decided to make it 'safer' and changed it to ZFS2 - basically two sets of mirrowed drives with one as spare which gives 4tb of space.
Before it was really quiet but now it seems like it is about to take off.
It also has 5gb of memory which is now almost all taken up no matter if there is any files are written/read
Can anyone advise on what tweaks are available to cure the problem?
