No driver attached with intel I210 network chip

Hello,

i am a bit stuck at the moment. I am building up a Windows server 2016 Server with with two vm. One of which is FreeNAS 11. Install was after I Switch to 11 no problem and booted the virtual machine back up. I get the message pci0 <network, Ethernet> At device 10.0 ( no driver attached) and for that reason no IP address.

The weird thing is that the os has no problem with driver when I switch the network from Legacy to the normal adapter settings. With that I get no excess to the server via the web GUI

Clearly, FreeNAS' igb (or was it em?) driver does not like whatever your virtualization solution is doing.

Year, that is what I am thinking too, Don´t understand why, hoped that somebody could help

Since you haven't even told us what the VM is, any ideas are going to be blind guesses.

Well it is Hyper-v . Sorry, I use the latest verison of Windows Server 2016
