Hi,

I'm testing TrueNAS Scale in a machine but after I had a problem with a disc and replaced the disc, now when I try to start NFS Service I receive the message:

NFS service failed to start.

I already reset the server but the service can't start anymore, I tested with the SMB service and worked fine.

I'm using:

TrueNAS-SCALE-Angelfish-PRERELEASE
Computer: i3 - 16 GB RAM DDR4 - 5 HDs SATA 1 TB

If someone have some tip, I'm really enjoying TrueNAS Scale.

Thanks in advance,

snave

I had a similar issue. It turned out that the NFS export had disappeared for some reason. It seems that if you don't have any exports, then the NFS service reports "failed to start" rather than "no nfs filesystem to export". Check that you still have that directory made available to NFS mount is my suggestion.

Confirmed this behavior on my test on TrueNAS-SCALE-21.06-BETA.1. NFS service won't start without the export, but message doesn't state that.
