Hello,
I have the oportunity to get some EMC DAEs for free and also some FC cards, they are 4gc FC, from a CX3, and in one of the shelves there was some 1TB SATA drives with FC to SATA.
My questions are:
do I have any size limit in the drives I use due to the FC to SATA Interposer? (something like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/EMC-303-078...erposer-Bullet-SATA-Paddle-Card-/191465154563)
Any drive size limitation due to the FC DAE? or any other component?
If I have no limit, my intention will be to connect at least 2 FC DAE to 2 FC cards (to have FC resilence) and buy some more interposers to be able to install up to 30 sata drives.
I have no clue if I will have options to get those drives to sleep mode when they are not in use.
I will be glad to have any recommendation from you. Please ask anything that could be also usefull for any other user.
Sorry but I haven't found much on reusing old EMC cabin equipment.
