ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS (bios 3407)
2x Intel E5-2620 v4
Kingston 128GB RDIMM, ECC
Intel PCH C612 & ASMedia 106SE
Flashdrives: SONY (USM-W series) / SanDisk (cruzer edge) / Kingston (DataTraveler SE9 G2) +++more

Just after drivers for usb and hdd are loaded it reboots. And it does this every time at exactly the same point.
I have tried many different flash drives, but always the same loop.
how do i get around this?

What happens if you use single-user boot mode?

I have the same motherboard and ram, and the same boot loop issue.
I had this issue two years ago, but then I solved it by not using the latest version (freenas 10.x) and installed freenas 9.3
Now I have to do a clean install and i do not know how.
I have no solution, sorry for adding this, but I would just like you to know I also have this issue.

I have an identical setup on my new system (see sig.) and can boot just fine. (EDIT: I see I have a PA, not a PE on re-reading... below comment still applies)

I note that the dropout in the video happens right after the initialization of a UHUB device... do you have anything in USB ports or connected to USB headers on the board?

I see there are 2 BIOS releases after the one you are using (one with Spectre and Meltdown fixes, one not).

Perhaps that's a starting point to get to at least the 3501 version from January.
