My first FreeNAS is up and running! My hardware configuration

Hi,

I managed to get up first FreeNAS up and running. Below are the things hardware that I have used:


Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X150M-PRO ECC INR 11,000 (USD 165)
Processor: Intel i3-6100 INR 8,600 (USD 130)
RAM: Kingston 8GB KVR21E15D8/8HA INR 4,450 (USD 68)
Graphics: Zotac GeForce GT710 INR 2,500 (USD 38)
SMPS: Corsair VS350 INR 2,000 (USD 30)
Storage: Transcend 32 GB M.2 Sata INR 2,300 (USD 35)
Cabinet: Frontech joy INR 650 (USD 10)
APC BR1000G-IN INR 7,500 (USD 115)


I have installed 2 x 2 TB WD Red Drives


Things look great! I have a bunch of questions but I will post them on a different thread/forum.

Welcome! There have been a number of people here interested in that Gigabyte motherboard. It should be possible to use that system without the video board, saving a bit of power and heat.

Welcome! There have been a number of people here interested in that Gigabyte motherboard. It should be possible to use that system without the video board, saving a bit of power and heat.

I guess, it should be possible to use it without display adapter. However, you definitely need one display adapter for setting up and installing the system.
