hello,

im using freenas for1 scsi going to my htpc, and 1 for my esxi5 server...

now i really wonder is there any rules/ guideline , performance usage to make multiple iscsi drive?

i can just keep the same target initiator and portal , and just keep adding file/device extend ?

or do i need different initiator or portal ? different port e.t.c?

thank you!

It's best to create a new target for each connection. You can re-use the portal group and initiator group without any issue.

The daemon multiplexes a target with multiple LUNs over the same TCP connection, so you can run in to contention from TCP if there is more than one LUN.
