Hope this isn't too ignorant of a question, but... I am planning on replacing my current mirrored USB boot devices with a single SSD. Upgrading other machines in the house, and moving SSDs down the line, and I have a 60GB SSD with plenty of life left in it that will be re-purposed as the FreeNAS boot device.
Is that sufficiently large to move the System dataset off the RAIDZ2 pool, and onto the SSD?
I've been playing with my FreeNAS build, but haven't put it into "production" yet, there is no real data on it, so I have zero experience with how much is actually written to the System dataset.
<edit>Changed typo RAIDZ3 to RAIDZ2</edit>
