I have a Raspberry Pi connected to my TV working as a media centre using RaspBMC installed onto an NFS share on my NAS.
Whenever a new version of RaspBMC is released I install it to a new folder in the share, to make sure I dont lose the previous working version. If I want to change the folder the Pi is pointed to on boot, I have to manually change a file on the Pi's SD card.
I would much prefer to have a single LIVE folder in the share for the active version of RaspBMC that the Pi will always be pointed to. Then to be able to change versions remotely.
I figured I might be able to just change the folder names, but I thought it might be better to link the empty live folder to the different version folders. I thought mounting rather than symlinking would be the way to go, as the mount could survive a NAS reboot using fstab.
What do you guys reckon? Thanks.
