Most optimal settings for common SMB usage

Hi.
I'm running TrueNAS-12.0-U6 on vmware ESXi 7.0.
I have installed one 4TB HDD in pool1. My main usage is as normal NAS - storing normal files (photos from camera, videos from drone, documents, storing install files etc.). I recently installed 512GB SSD and 10Gb networking in my server. What's the best option for this SSD? Using it as L2ARC or SLOG? My main concern is fast writing speeds. When I tested using SSD as L2ARC, my speeds where around 320MB/s (using sync=disabled) and around 250MB/s (using synd=standard). When I changed SSD to SLOG, however, it slowed down regardless of setting my sync to speed of my HDD (firstly it spiked to around 300MB/s and than dropped down to around 110MB/s or even sometimes as low as 20MB/s.
I'm using 12GB of RAM.
Also, if you have any considerations on how to improve general SMB settings and performance, write your ideas.

Thank you.
