Migration from FreeNAS to TrueNAS

So I am new to the TrueNAS ecosystem. I have downloaded the TrueNAS Scale image and running it on a VM on a new server with an external disk shelf array. My current server is a 12 disk array running FreeNAS 11.1-U7 (which runs bare bones on the server). Is there a good place to start or look at for information pertaining to being able to migrate the users and shares so the transition to the new server is easier than manually configuring each user. I have not yet brought the ZFS data pool into the new server, I was waiting to shut my old server down until I had a good idea of how to transition to the new system. Hopefully this makes sense if not please let me know so I can elaborate more if necessary.
I don't know really what you would call what I am wanting to do (this is for a home lab system).
