Hi! i'm relatively new to Freenas, and i'm looking into getting a Freenas mini E+ to run my media server off of. my question is, i didn't configure my server very well to start with, and i don't know how to move the media files i have on the current media server to the new one when it comes time to set it up. would it be as simple as moving the drives to the new system? or do i have to re-configure it so i can make a backup of the files to move to the new system? any advice that can be offered would be a great help!

Note, i don't plan to buy the Mini E+ yet, but this is for future knowledge

That's certainly an easy option... if you move the boot drive too you don't even need to import the pool(s).
