"Mark Forum Read" without marking subforums read?

I am wondering if I'm missing something. Is there a way to mark a forum read without marking its subforums read? Often I want to mark "Help & Support" read as I'll skim through that first before digging into the subforums, but I don't want to mark all of those subforums read at the same time.
