Hi. I just got this HBA and it doesn't work in the PC I want to use it with truenas (I7 first generation - 16 Gb RAM). The pc make three bips and never start (nether bios)

In a newer PC it works fine.

Is there any compatibility Issue? Or minimal requirements?

If you check the manual, it states that three long beeps mean a memory error - don't forget why manuals exist.

Now, a memory error isn't quite as bizarre as you might think. PC motherboards use SMBus for many things, including memory detection and configuration, and for sideband access to PCIe devices. Some motherboards share these busses in ways that create incompatibilities if a PCIe shows up that tries to communicate over the SMBus - as LSI SAS controllers are known to do. The controller effectively talks over the memory's SPD ICs and keeps the system from identifying what memory is installed.

I suspect isolating the card from the SMBus would resolve your issue (with no loss of functionality, it's an integrated server feature). There are several options:
  1. Some boards allow you to isolate the PCIe slots from the SMBus, e.g. with a jumper. The manual for yours does not offer this option, but definitely look around for such a jumper.
  2. A different slot may be on a different bus and avoid the problem. You may need to use a x4 to x8 riser or manually hack away at the slot...
  3. You can tape over the card's SMBus pins with electrical tape.
Needless to say, 2. and 3. are not great and you're on your own and any hacks are at your own risk.

How was the HBA acquired? eBay? As a note there are many clones (fake controllers) available new at rock-bottom prices. Some clones have unresolved issues.

Solved. I bought it at Aliexpress. I contacted the store and they gave my the solution. Is what ERICLOEWE said.
I just had to tape some of the pins

I reintall the truenas in two SSD of 80 Gb.
Remove the 4 Sata HHD of 1 Tb (I was using them just to test the system)
Install 2 SAS of 8Tb and 5 Sata HDD of 2 Gb.
After the instalation the problem disapear
