- Please don't talk me out of using UFS, ask why or try to sway me to ZFS, I'm happy with this method of backing up 1:1 opposed to a parity.

Ok, I'll just imply a few things then:

1. *very* few people use UFS, and I don't think anyone in this forum has tried to change it. So you probably aren't going to get an answer.
2. UFS support is removed from FreeNAS code already, so future versions aren't going to be usable for you.
