lost SMB access to shares

tried with win 10, and win 7, both fail authorization.
i wasn't sure if i misconfigured, so i tried a complete configuration reset from the physical console. after rebuilding the configuration, the shares show up in the windows network, and i can map the network drives, but i still get an error about not being authorized to access the shares. i have verified file permissions, and in the smb share, under advanced, i made sure to enter the IP of the accessing computer in the allowed address field.


any thoughts or ideas?

while i try and research what i could have possibly done, i have shutdown the server while i try and figure out how to get the data back, should i need to do a complete re-install. not a happy camper...

the permissions for the pool was incorrect.
