Is this still true three years later for 11.1? It doesn't seem like the sort of thing that would change, but thought I should ask.
Background info:
I'm looking for a well tested version and am willing to forego the latest features. I believe my use case would fall into what people seem to refer to as a "production" system. The download button at the top of http://www.freenas.org/ delivers me to latest, where as FreeNAS 11.1 User's Guide section 2.1 Getting FreeNAS (https://doc.freenas.org/11/install.html#getting-freenas) delivers me to stable.
STABLE, as it has the latest, verified bug fixes. "Latest" is the latest stuff, but not everything has been vetted as working. Once it has, it goes into STABLE.
