i have a chenbro CK12803 with an old LSI raid card that i need to replace (2tb limit). will the ibm m1015 work?
im thinking on using a rocketraid 2710.
do you know if the chenbro has size limits at all? will the chenbro work with 3tb drives? (currenly got 12 connected to a backplane.

if you got better a better idea (cheaper idea) im all ears

I'd suggest asking Chenbro. That's an old LSI SASX28 expander and my suspicion is it doesn't support drives larger than 2TB, but I could be wrong. The M1015 should talk to it, albeit at the slower speed.

hey guys, just an update. i just got the m1015 (seems like already TI flashed.. all the disks were JBOD and i didnt see a way to raid them) and i was able to see all the 3tb (well more like 2.7)
where can i submit this info for others to know?
i repeat the IBM M1015 is compatible with the Chenbro CK12803 and this expander works with 3tb drives

My Intel RES2SV240 and Areca 8016 SAS external expander work fine with my M1015.
