Hi,
I am trying to use Plex on my FreeNAS 9.1.1

When I try to configure the Plex Jails Storage, I get the following Message:

The path '/mnt/datastore1' requires execute permission bit

See the screenshot.

The error stays the same when choosin
Source: /mnt/Plex/media
Destination: /media

When I choosed Source and Destionation, I get also this message:

Select a valid choice. plex_1 is not one of the available choices.

What should I do to get plex working?

I used this tutorial to get it working but without any success.

My only guess would be to chmod 775 the folder you're using as a mount point for plex.

Did anyone figure this out? I'm having this issue now...

**edit**

FIgured it out. Added permissions for the "other" column and it started working.

Took me a while to figure out, but go under Storage>Volumes>your plugin volume, click "Change permissions" on there, and the spot I was missing was to change the permission type from unix to Windows. This allowed the other group to have read and execute bits turned on (trying to leave it unix and turn those on manually would not change it, which was frustrating). I realize this is a super old thread but I just struggled for an hour so figured I'd pay it forward.

Well, running FreeNAS 9.10.1-U2 (f045a8b) here and setting it from the web GUI didn't work. I had to ssh to FreeNAS navigate to the directory and run:
Code:
sudo chmod o+x folder

Hope this helps.
