Is there any install guides on Ubuntu jails? on how to get it working?

having trouble installing due to lack of experience and it seems i don't have any network going trough the VLAN cards.
I'm going to run Crashplan on the Ubuntu jail cause my crashplan jail stopped working and i cannot get it running again. and i need to backup everything before i re install the server. Having issues with my new LSI SAS 9211-8i cause its running in IR not IT mode.

So need help to install a working Ubuntu jail so i can backup my data before i reinstall.
Can i pledge a little help?

Any particular reason you want an Ubuntu jail (Linux jails are experimental and don't work well)? Also, your post is unclear: how will a jail help you as a backup if you will be reinstalling FreeNAS?
