Hello all. I finally got my system up and running and I'm trying to create a large zfs raidz3 volume and I'm having problems with one disk. This is a used disk so it's entirely possible there's 'stuff' on it. Below is the error I get when trying to create the volume:

Software Version: FreeNAS-11.0-U2 (e417d8aa5)
Exception Type: MiddlewareError
Exception Value:
[MiddlewareError: b'Unable to GPT format the disk "da8": gpart: Invalid argument\n']
Exception Location: ./freenasUI/middleware/notifier.py in __gpt_labeldisk, line 409

I've searched the forums and found similar problems and have tried just about everything to no avail. Any ideas? Below is the error I get when trying to wipe the disk in question.

Software Version: FreeNAS-11.0-U2 (e417d8aa5)
Exception Type: MiddlewareError
Exception Value:
[MiddlewareError: b'Failed to wipe da8: dd: /dev/da8: Operation not permitted\n']
Exception Location: ./freenasUI/middleware/notifier.py in _do_disk_wipe_quick, line 4704

Thanks,
Peter

Take a look at this. Found here. Also consider reporting a bug following the link 'Report a Bug' found in top of the forum if it doesn't resolve your problem.
