Hi,
I have created one portal (myStorage), three targets (lxstor1, lxstor2 and sunstor) and three initiators (sunny, moony and solaris).

If I leave default restrictions (ALL in initiators field) all hosts are able to see all targets. If I want to restrict an access per initiator (let say: sunny should see only lxstor1) then no host is able to see the target.

Of course I set hostnames in /etc/hosts on freenas. My freenas version is 9.1.1.

Any help?

Kind regards,
sunrrrise

I think you need to add the initiator iqn instead of the hostname. My initators were all unable to discover anything until I added the proper iqn.

Not really a fix, but I'd just leave it all and only connect what you want.

Potential fix, use chap to segregate them, along with the multiple initiators. This is the only way I ever got this to work.

I'm in no way saying this is an answer, just a single experience for me, and it was unimportant enough for me to leave it at that.
