TrueNAS 23.10.1.1

iSCSI setup:
  • Two iSCSI subnets; one portal per subnet.
  • Two hosts; one initiator group per host.
  • One extent.
  • Two targets; one target per initiator group for both subnets.
When creating two associated targets for the two targets with the same LUN ID and the extent, the second associated target configuration returned error saying: "Extent is already in use.".

But, previously I could create associated targets for different targets (hosts) with the same LUN ID and use the same extent.

See the screenshots below, those same LUN ID entries were created before.

When I try to create an associated target with the same LUN ID for the same extent, error returned.

I'm having the same problem. I'm in the process of moving some iSCSI stuff between pools and I've run into the problem where I can't associate the same iSCSI extent to 2 different targets. In earlier versions of TrueNAS SCALE I never had a problem doing this, but now I can't. And I'm running TrueNAS SCALE v23.10.2.
