I got a new mobo the other day and decided to do a clean install of 11.2 on a new ssd. I imported the settings from my existing FreeNAS, also running 11.2 but upgraded a few times through the years.
I noticed the iscsi service did not start (btw - I do not get alerts for that although I get other alerts).
When trying to find out what was wrong I revisited all the settings for iSCSI and noticed that the "Authorized Access" info was missing. When trying to enter the secret using the new gui it was not possible to enter secrets just for the user, even when mode is set to CHAP (mutual CHAP requires user + peer user secrets, but CHAP does not).
Switching to the legacy gui and adding the secret there works and the service could start.
