Is there something wrong with this drive?

I'm getting errors like this on my ada3 drive:

I have found threads with others seeing the same error. It looks like the first steps are to replace the SATA cable and then try a different SATA port. I will do those. In the meantime, does anyone see anything wrong with this drive?

I have a new spare ready to plug in if this drive needs to be replaced. But, as far as I can tell, the drive is reporting to be ok, no?

Disk doesn't appear to be bad. You may want to consider doing more frequent long tests, probably twice a month, as a short test will not give a clear indication of a pending failure.

It could also be a bad cable, so you might want to change that too.

Lastly, if you're using anything other than an Intel controller or LSI HBA, that could also be a problem. Marvell controllers are notoriously unreliable under FreeNAS.

Thank you. I will up the long tests and switch the cable.

The MB is a Supermicro A1SAI-2750F-O. I believe that is Intel controller, right?

CAM status: Uncorrectable parity/CRC error <= this means the data that was sent to controller was not the same data that was on disk. This almost always means the data cable is bad in some way. Sometimes the controller can cause these errors also.
